The objective of this paper is “to provide an overview of lean inventory management and its impact on supply chain performance. The paper discusses the concept of lean inventory management and its principles, which include reducing waste, eliminating unnecessary inventory, and improving flow. The paper also highlights the benefits of implementing lean inventory management in a supply chain, such as improved customer service, reduced lead times, and increased profitability. The implementation of lean inventory management practices can result in lower inventory holding costs, reduced stockouts, and improved production efficiency. The paper also discusses the challenges associated with implementing lean inventory management in a supply chain, such as resistance to change, lack of employee buy-in, and the need for a cultural shift towards continuous improvement.
