Abstract

This study explores sustainable fisheries management practices in coastal communities, focusing on the use of traditional fishing methods, marine protected areas (MPAs), and fish stock monitoring. Fieldwork conducted in three coastal regions shows how local knowledge and modern technology can be combined to ensure the long term sustainability of fisheries. The study emphasizes the importance of community involvement in sustainable fisheries management.
