Abstract

There has been a substantial influence on consumer behaviour and an increase in sales for e-commerce enterprises as a result of the emergence of social networking platforms as key drivers of online purchasing, the role that social media plays in supporting and accelerating the rise of online buying. Specifically, the research will investigate the major characteristics that contribute to the efficacy of social media as a sales channel. the ways in which social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, provide merchants the opportunity to reach and communicate with potential consumers, increase brand recognition, and drive traffic to their online businesses.
