Abstract

The department organises a variety of initiatives, seminars, certified courses and bursaries to ensure that officials get continuous assistance and growth. It is essential that authorities present in a way that positively and respectfully describes the officer. Officials play an essential part in the organisation of competitions. They offer participants with direction and advice to ensure that the competition is carried out in a safe and fair way. Sports officers are a respectable profession which demands a high moral character and integrity from those involved. Officials need to be fair-minded and brave. They should comply with the IHSAA Code of Ethics for Officials and adhere to it. Officials are a key component in sport. They should be given a chance to make a meaningful contribution to sport by acquiring, teaching and mentoring new skills. It is essential that everyone, including spectators, creates a polite, grateful and supporting atmosphere.
