Abstract

The objective of any industry is production of high quality products at low cost and increase the production rate. Welding is most important operation in any industry. It is essential to optimize the various parameters viz; welding current, welding speed, voltage, gas flow rate, etc. and also optimize mechanical properties viz stress , strain and deformation of welded joint . so that we can achieve the reliability, productivity and quality of the products. In this present study, the effective way is used to evaluate and optimise the welding techniques with better tensile strength for Lap Joint. The method opts for analysis of Lap welding joint is Taguchi method. Taguchi method is used for the purpose of result optimization. ANOVA method is used for proper judgement of result along with Taguchi method. The stress and deformation is calculated on the ANSYS software.
