Abstract

According to the WHO, health is defined as a state of well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Levy (1980) states that health care and proper nutrition improve people's standard of living by reducing morbidity, mortality and increasing life expectancy. Health is not only an individual issue, but also a community issue. Poor health reduces an individual's physical and cognitive abilities. When people identify health problems, their health-seeking process is influenced by the availability, accessibility, affordability, adequacy and acceptability of health infrastructure.1
